ADAPTIVE REUSE

COMMERCE

Client:
Private
Location:
Nalbandyan st., Yerevan
Completion date:
2006
Description

The project is an adaptive reuse through reconstruction and rehabilitation of an existing listed building in Sakharov Square.
The modifications made to the facades of the property were restricted by its status and thus presented an interesting task of making use of the spaces within the existing envelope while maintaining its architectural image.

3 floors were added to make room for all the intended uses foreseen by the project, which also allowed to have a usable roof area. Also, detailed interior design was developed for the shopping and office areas.
